Altitude

Oh yeah! While I was in Africa, myself and some friends climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro - we did it to again raise awareness for the Congo ladies.. I never thought it a million years that I could ever get to the top but I did it! It was ridiculously hard, but WORTH it in the end. This mountain is located in Tanzania - its the tallest free standing mountain in the world 5895 meters or
19, 340 feet. I could just about see all the way back home to Saskatchewan!

Right now, I am busy trying to raise both funds and awareness for the plight of women living in the Congo.
In fact, 10 months ago I went into a war zone to visit a hospital for women who have been the victims of sexual violence and have to have surgeries to repair the damage that was done to them. Nothing could of prepared me for what I experienced and ever since I have came back I have been speaking at every opportunity to raise awareness for what is really going on over there. It literally can blow your mind.

Well, I have finally tried to catch up with the 90's.. (grin) who would of thought that I would be creating a blog of my very own. Just a few short months ago I didnt even know what one was!

So - to keep half a step ahead of my ever so growing children, I decided to embrace this new technology and just go for it. Next week I am even going to attempt to program my cell phone!

Your probably wondering why I decided to blog my story, well, its really because I have such a hard time trying to keep up with things that this seem like a perfect way that people can find out what the heck Ive been up too!
